  2. Don’t be fooled by the SLR design & the nice lens. This camera is strictly for those who don’t know or care anything about photography. It’s all automatic, and any creative control must be programmed by menus. The lens is not even threaded for filters so you can’t even use a basic UV lens protector. Considering all that it doesn’t do, this camera is a bulky pocket rock, and those for whom it was designed would be better off with a compact point & shoot.

Someone please help me out. As part of my order for the new Nikon L100 camera I also ordered a charger and rechargeable AA batteries. After receiving the camera the User’s manual is telling me that rechargeable batteries cannot be used. As part of the L100 camera packages available on Amazon rechargable batteries are included. Can I or can I not use the rechargeable batteries that are being sold with this camera?

I got very excited when I purchased this camera thinking that it could be a great replacement for a point and shoot type cameras and also to have a feeling like SLR. May be not. This camera was not focusing the image at all. Also its making a hushing noise while focussing the image in zoom mode. I thought I am making a mistake. So I went to best buy and fooled around with the same model camera out there on display. It was working perfectly fine with very very fast capturing and dead silent. I tried to take an image for the tiny screw on my eye glasses frame and it took a crystal clear picture in no time. So I concluded definitely the piece I got is defective. Amazon is great but I was hesitant to take a replacement option becuase the whole lot they have could be bad ones. But thank you Amazon for giving me the credit on returns. So final word, camera could be a great one but reliability is doubtful. Take a chance if you really like it.

IT’s OK but just OK. WE had another digital camera and it was much better. The software that came with this one was awful. If We could exchange it we would. The better software was offered for sale but after seeing the free stuff I did not purchase it. WE did not purchase any accessories. I also did not like the quality of the photographs. But thay may just be getting to know the camera. All in all it’s just OK.
